Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients presenting to the Emergency Department with diverse medical needs
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions with speed and precision
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive emergency care
• Monitor patient conditions, document findings, and adjust care plans as needed
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families during high-stress situations
• Respond quickly and effectively to trauma, cardiac, and respiratory emergencies

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Previous emergency department or critical care experience highly valued
• Ability to make rapid clinical decisions and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing triage and patient assessment skills
• Knowledge of emergency medications, protocols, and life-support techniques
• Proficiency with electronic health records and charting
• Skilled in IV insertion, wound care, and emergency procedures
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
