Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents as a GNA
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and document resident conditions, behaviors, and vital signs accurately
- Communicate clearly with nursing staff and family members about resident needs
- Maintain safety, infection control, and cleanliness standards on your shift
- Support a positive, team-oriented care environment that promotes dignity and respect
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification in the state of Maryland
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work the assigned night shift
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care and personal care skills
- Infection control and safe handling practices
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
- Familiarity with electronic documentation is a plus
