Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Start Date: 07-13-2026

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Varied shifts, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with call requirements (one weekday and one weekend per month)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the operating room for CVOR and general surgeries
Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during open heart and endovascular procedures
Ensure strict sterile technique is followed throughout all surgeries
Manage surgical equipment, including robotic and endoscopic systems
Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to provide optimal patient care
Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies, including one weekday and one weekend per month

Qualifications

Active Colorado DORA certification as a Surgical Technician
BLS certification from the American Heart Association
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
Minimum 1 year of experience in CVOR with open heart and endovascular cases
Ability to float to general OR as needed

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in open heart surgery and endovascular procedures
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and infection control
Experience with robotic surgery and advanced surgical equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high case volume
