Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to MedSurg and ED patients, including swing bed rehab, pain management, and emergency interventions
Titrate medications and manage drips like insulin, amiodarone, and levophed
Respond to codes (cardiorespiratory, stroke, sepsis) and trauma activations
Perform EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Collaborate with a small team of 2 RNs and 1 CNA to ensure safe patient ratios

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
Ability to work independently with minimal staff support

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in starting IVs and managing PICC lines
Experience with Meditech EMR
Competence in patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes
Ability to float between MedSurg and ER seamlessly
