Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population in PCU and IMC units across multiple facilities within Zone 1
• Monitor and manage cardiac drips, titrate medications (e.g., dopamine, amiodarone, heparin), and respond to changes in patient condition
• Float seamlessly between units and facilities as needed, adapting quickly to different patient specialties
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU/IMC experience
• Proficiency in cardiac drip management and titration (dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amio, insulin, heparin)
• Ability to float within a 60-mile radius across multiple facilities in Zone 1
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for progressive care patients
• Expertise in telemetry monitoring and arrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with Epic electronic health records
• Comfortable managing high-acuity patients including those on cardiac drips and insulin/ativan protocols
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced float pool environment
