Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts), schedule determined by manager, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and administering medications
Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to ensure patient safety and quality care
Perform telemetry strip reading and patient assessments for conditions such as CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and CKD
Float to all med/surg units as needed
Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of experience in med/surg or telemetry preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Strong communication and time management skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in telemetry strip reading
Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuities
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen equipment
