Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start, 8-hour or 10-hour shifts, same schedule week to week with one weeknight call per week (end of shift until 7:00 AM next morning) and three 24-hour weekend call shifts per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $50 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub in independently for cranial procedures and neuro-trauma cases
• Assist with orthopedic trauma and total joint procedures in a fast-paced Level II trauma environment
• Prepare and maintain sterile fields while supporting surgeons across multiple specialties including orthopedics, urology, ENT, and neurosurgery
• Operate advanced surgical equipment including DaVinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis systems
• Collaborate with a supportive surgical team that prioritizes patient safety and quality outcomes
• Respond promptly to 15-minute call requirements while maintaining flexibility for holiday coverage needs

Qualifications

• Current CST certification preferred with proven ability to scrub independently
• Strong orthopedic trauma and total joint experience required
• Competency in cranial procedures and neuro-trauma call coverage
• BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Minimum one year of recent OR experience in a fast-paced surgical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert scrubbing techniques for complex cranial and orthopedic trauma cases
• Proficiency with DaVinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis surgical systems
• Strong understanding of sterile technique and patient safety protocols
• Ability to work efficiently in an 11-room OR handling 18 cases daily
• Excellent communication skills and positive attitude in high-acuity settings
• Flexibility to adapt to varying case volumes and surgical team needs
