Surgical Tech - CVOR

Location: Sacramento, CA

Start Date: 07-21-2026

End Date: 10-20-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts starting at 6:00 AM or 10:00 AM, with overnight call once per week and 1 weekend of call per month

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in cardiovascular surgeries, including CABG and valve procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile field and surgical instruments
Monitor and interpret EKG strips during procedures
Collaborate with surgical team for efficient patient care
Ensure OR readiness and adherence to safety protocols

Qualifications

BLS and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of strong CVOR experience
Ability to read and interpret EKG strips
First-time travelers welcome
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in sterile technique and aseptic practices
Proficient in Cerner EMR
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical instruments and procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to varied shift start times and call duties
