Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based respiratory care for acute patients
Manage ventilators and deliver advanced airway support
Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Document patient progress, interventions, and response to therapy accurately
Respond to emergency respiratory situations with calm, skilled intervention

Qualifications

Active Georgia Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligible to obtain)
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS preferred
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT credential strongly preferred
Clinical experience in acute care, ICU, or hospital settings preferred
Ability to work full shifts and adapt to rotating schedules
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Education

Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management and arterial blood gas interpretation
Skilled in airway management, oxygen therapy, and aerosolized medication delivery
Familiarity with hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
Good clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills
Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation
Team-oriented mindset with a patient-first attitude
