Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for progressive care patients with neuro and trauma conditions
• Perform neuro and spinal checks, manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide compassionate care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed to support the team

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of progressive care or stepdown experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Neuro and trauma care experience strongly preferred
• Team player with a patient-focused mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS protocols
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Skills in neuro checks, chest tube management, and trauma care
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
