Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patients in a 44-bed Progressive Care Unit focusing on neuro and trauma care
• Perform neuro and spinal assessments, including C-collar placement and TLSO brace management
• Manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions with precision
• Administer blood transfusions and assist with lumbar drain and feeding tube placement
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
• Document accurately in Cerner EMR and maintain patient safety standards

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of PCU or Stepdown experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications mandatory
• Proven experience in neuro and trauma care settings
• Team player with a patient-focused attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
• Basic life support (BLS)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Neuro assessment and trauma care skills
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Ability to manage chest tubes, PCA pumps, and IV infusions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
