Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, MI, arrhythmias, and post-procedure care
• Monitor telemetry and titrate cardiac IV medications like nitroglycerine, Cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Perform bedside cardioversion and other unit-specific procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 2 years of Stepdown or Progressive Care experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac IV medications

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Skills in titrating cardiac medications and managing critical drips
• Ability to work flexible shifts including every other weekend
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Relief charge experience preferred
