Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in a 9-bed PICU
• Perform IV starts, catheter insertions, central line dressing changes, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Manage ventilator settings and provide trach care and tube feeding
• Monitor ICP and assist with lumbar punctures and other procedures
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to pediatrics and NICU as needed

Qualifications

• Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent PICU experience
• PALS certification required
• BLS certification
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled in IV starts, catheter insertion, and central line care
• Experience with trach care, tube feeding, and ICP monitoring
• Knowledgeable in Cerner documentation system
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
