Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to pediatric patients in a 9-bed PICU with 1:1 to 1:2 ratios
• Perform IV starts, catheter insertions, and assist with lumbar punctures
• Manage central line dressings, hemodynamic monitoring, and tracheostomy care
• Administer tube feedings and monitor placement, plus ICP monitoring and ventilator management
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care
• Float to Peds and NICU as needed, supporting the broader children's hospital

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (NLC)
• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• Current PALS certification is a must
• Proficiency in Cerner documentation system preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in pediatric critical care and advanced life support
• Skilled in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and central line care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills for a Magnet-designated hospital
