Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy and safety
  • Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond promptly to any concerns
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Educate patients and their families on care plans, medications, and health promotion

Qualifications

  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • A compassionate and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and standards
  • Proficiency in medication administration, including IV therapy and injections
  • Comfortable using electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with residents, families, and the care team
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during busy shifts
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
