Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed Progressive Care Unit
Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while managing patients with complex cardiac, vascular, and respiratory needs
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient experiences and outcomes
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed to care for PCU-level patients and support hospital-wide needs
Champion patient safety and satisfaction by focusing on responsiveness, clear medication communication, and a healing environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency managing arterial lines
Strong telemetry interpretation and drip titration skills
Ability to arrive within 30 minutes when called in from on-call status
Willingness to work every other weekend and at least two holidays during the contract

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Cardiac, vascular, sepsis, stroke, and post-procedure patient care
Drip titration and arterial line management
High-flow oxygen systems and basic respiratory equipment
Team collaboration and adaptability across MedSurg and ICU environments
