Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM nights and days, alternating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery
Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using advanced EFM technology
Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and TOLAC procedures as a skilled circulating nurse
Collaborate with a dynamic team to maintain safe 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios
Support families through every stage of the birthing experience with professionalism and warmth

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact license
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications
Proven competency in EFM, SVE, and C-Section circulation
Strong teamwork skills and a positive, can-do attitude

Knowledge & Skills

Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Sterile Vaginal Exam (SVE) competency
C-Section circulation experience
Familiarity with Meditech EMR
Equipment knowledge including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, Toco, and Ultrasound
