Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert, compassionate care to premature and critically ill newborns in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and manage ventilators, ECMO, and cooling therapies with a dedicated respiratory team
Collaborate with neonatologists and mid-level providers available 24/7 for high-risk infants
Float to mother-baby and labor units to support newborns and their families
Maintain sterile technique during Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
Partner with charge nurses and patient care techs to deliver safe, high-quality care

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification preferred
Minimum 3 years of Level 3 or 4 NICU experience
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Cerner EMR experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Strong neonatal resuscitation and critical care skills
Comfortable with cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO, and cooling protocols
Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher
Proficient in sterile field techniques for Foley and central line procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
