Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate neonatal intensive care for critically ill newborns and infants
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support including HFNC, SiPAP, and HFOV
• Perform and assist with procedures such as intubation, chest tubes, and central/PICC line care
• Monitor and titrate complex infusions using feeding pumps and IV pumps while maintaining precise documentation
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate and support families through high-stress situations with patience and clear communication
• Accurately document patient care in the EMR (CPN/Meditech) and ensure continuity at handoff

Qualifications

• Active RN credential (Registered Nurse) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• STABLE certification required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU Level III-IV experience required; posting lists 4 years of overall experience
• Proven experience with ventilator management and advanced neonatal procedures (intubation, central/PICC line care)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and providing family-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Neonatal Intensive Care practices and neonatal resuscitation
• Experience with ventilators and respiratory modalities: HFNC, SiPAP, HFOV, mechanical ventilation
• Skill in central line, PICC, and PIV management and troubleshooting
• Proficient with feeding pumps, IV pumps, and other NICU equipment
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically CPN/Meditech
• Ability to perform or assist with intubations and emergency neonatal procedures
