Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care across multiple MS-Tele units including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
Float within Zone 4 facilities spanning a 60-mile radius, adapting quickly to new units and patient populations
Monitor and titrate Heparin drips while caring for adult and geriatric patients with diverse diagnoses
Collaborate with designated Charge Nurses and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centered care
Support patients through post-surgical recovery, cardiac monitoring, neuro assessments, and stable long-term placements

Qualifications

Active RN license in Kansas or compact license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience within the last 3 years
Prior neuro experience preferred
Alaris pump and EPIC experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills across telemetry and medical-surgical patients
Ability to float between ICU holds, PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele units as needed
Comfortable working with vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and tele monitoring equipment
Flexible and adaptable to last-minute facility assignments and schedule changes
Excellent communication and teamwork in a float pool environment
