Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care to patients in a fast-paced Clinical Decision/Direct Admit Unit focused on ED decompression and enhanced throughput
• Complete admission assessments, medication reconciliations, and initiate acute care orders to reduce overall length of stay
• Monitor telemetry patients remotely and escalate issues to ensure timely and appropriate care
• Float to other units within your skill set as needed, showcasing your versatility
• Collaborate with a dedicated team to prioritize patient safety and enhance the patient/family experience

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent experience in MedSurg, Telemetry, and/or Step-Down (PCU) nursing
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Positive attitude and teamwork focus for a high-volume, quick-turnover environment
• Charge Nurse experience or willingness to learn appreciated
• Ability to care for a wide variety of diagnoses with a well-rounded background

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in Cerner documentation system
• Experience with Baxter IV pumps
• Strong communication and escalation skills for telemetry oversight
• Adaptability to float and assist in different units
