Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to Med/Surg patients with diverse needs
• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care plans tailored to each patient
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, intervening promptly when needed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license in good standing
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Med/Surg experience preferred, but we welcome passionate new grads
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, patient-first approach to care

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles
• Proficiency with IV therapy, wound care, and medication administration
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
• Time management and prioritization in a dynamic setting
• Commitment to safety, infection control, and quality improvement
