Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including oxygen therapy, nebulized medications, and ventilator management
• Assess patient respiratory status and collaborate with the care team to develop and adjust treatment plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, treatments, and equipment
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure respiratory equipment is clean, safe, and functioning properly
• Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in code response
• Support a team environment focused on high-quality, compassionate care

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Previous pediatric or acute care experience preferred
• Advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS) a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication with patients, families, and team members
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
• Ability to work independently in a per diem setting
• Knowledge of pediatric respiratory equipment and therapies
