Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and mount dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality images
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts
• Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred; willing to certify
• Current radiology (X-ray) certification required
• Previous orthodontic experience is a plus but not required
• Strong communication and patient care skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dental setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Denticon)
• Knowledge of dental anatomy, instruments, and sterilization protocols
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Compassionate patient interaction and customer service
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety standards
