Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient examinations, bracket placements, and adjustments
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms
• Take and process diagnostic x-rays and dental impressions
• Guide patients through their orthodontic treatment plans and answer questions
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and proper care of braces and aligners

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) highly desirable
• Prior experience in orthodontics is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• X-ray certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Knowledge of dental terminology and orthodontic procedures
• Proficiency with dental practice management software
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
