Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM; includes every other weekend and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional critical care to adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU
Manage patients with diverse conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, and post-surgical recovery
Titrate vasopressors, sedatives, and other critical drips with precision
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including attendings, fellows, and residents to deliver high-quality care
Float to other inpatient units as needed (excluding Maternity/NICU)

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Must be located outside a 50-mile radius from Omaha and not employed by CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity
Driver's license required at submittal to verify distance

Knowledge & Skills

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Ability to interpret telemetry strips and manage cardiac drips
Strong critical thinking and adaptability in a high-volume tertiary hospital
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
