Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor patient conditions, assess vital signs, and respond swiftly to changes in status
• Administer medications and manage IV drips, including critical care medications such as vasopressors
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care thoroughly and accurately using the EPIC electronic medical record
• Float between ICU and PCU units as needed, adapting quickly to different patient care environments

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington or a compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or PCU setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Ability to float between ICU and PCU units per hospital needs
• Experience with IABP or CRRT is a plus, but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing practices and procedures
• Comfortable managing ventilators and titrating critical care drips
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork abilities
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
