Registered Nurse - ICU/PCU
Location: Tacoma, WA
Start Date: 09-21-2026
End Date: 12-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours), every other weekend (Friday/Saturday)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $65 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit
- Monitor patient conditions, assess vital signs, and respond swiftly to changes in status
- Administer medications and manage IV drips, including critical care medications such as vasopressors
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of physicians, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care thoroughly and accurately using the EPIC electronic medical record
- Float between ICU and PCU units as needed, adapting quickly to different patient care environments
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Washington or a compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or PCU setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Ability to float between ICU and PCU units per hospital needs
- Experience with IABP or CRRT is a plus, but not required
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of critical care nursing practices and procedures
- Comfortable managing ventilators and titrating critical care drips
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and collaborative teamwork abilities
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
