Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 3:00 PM - 3:00 AM, every other weekend and holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population across multiple facilities in Zone 1
Triage patients efficiently, perform rapid assessments, and prioritize care based on acuity
Administer medications, IV fluids, and emergency interventions as needed
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and techs to ensure smooth patient flow
Monitor telemetry strips and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately
Float between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More as staffing needs dictate
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room experience preferred
Willingness to float across a 60-mile zone covering multiple facilities
Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and trauma care
Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Experience with point-of-care lab testing and emergency medications
Excellent communication and teamwork skills for floating between different teams
Flexibility and adaptability to changing assignments and patient volumes
