Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Hybrid schedule with self-scheduling; every other weekend and rotating holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Triage and assess patients in a fast-paced emergency department
Provide advanced cardiac life support and trauma care for critical patients
Manage central lines, chest tubes, and rapid transfusions
Administer and monitor common drips such as Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, Propofol, Fentanyl, and Levophed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including MDs, mid-levels, and techs
Float between Bryan and College Station campuses as needed
Participate in shared governance and unit-based council

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in a similar volume and trauma level facility
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) before contract start
Comfortable with central line placement, MTP, chest tubes, traumas, STEMIs, strokes
Experience with PulseCheck or Picis EMR preferred

Emergency nursing and triage
Advanced dysrhythmia interpretation
Trauma nursing and rapid transfusion
Central line and chest tube management
Stroke and STEMI care
Pharmacology of critical care drips
Patient assessment and pain management
