Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour rotating shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays as per rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-acuity care for cardiac surgery recovery patients including CABG, TAVR, and lung transplants.
Manage advanced hemodynamic support devices such as IABP, Impella, and CRRT.
Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias, responding to critical changes quickly.
Collaborate with intensivists and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
Float to other ICUs and telemetry units as needed, ensuring continuity of care.
Assist with bedside procedures including bronchoscopy, Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, and epidural management.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state.
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, with CVICU experience strongly preferred.
Level I Trauma experience required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start; two attempts allowed.
Comfortable with sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.
Natural hair color and no facial piercings; men must be clean-shaven for fit test.

Knowledge & Skills

Strong IV skills and ability to manage multiple infusions.
Proficiency in dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation.
Experience with Cerner EMR system.
Knowledge of sterile field maintenance and infection control.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
