Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to critically ill cardiac patients in a 16-bed CICU
• Monitor and manage ventilators, telemetry, and hemodynamic status
• Titrate vasoactive medications, sedation, and paralytics as needed
• Assist with procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertion, and chest tube management
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of RNs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Float to other ICU areas as needed to support the unit

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency in titration of vesicant medications and vasopressors
• Experience with ventilators, trachs, telemetry interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Advanced skills in IABP, Impella, and CRRT preferred but not required
• CCRN certification appreciated

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Ability to interpret telemetry and manage transvenous pacing
• Familiarity with chest tube insertions and maintenance
• Comfortable with procedures like cardioversion, TEE, and pericardiocentesis
