Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate during cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, and hybrid vascular/cardiac cases
• Assist with interventional procedures including TAVR, MitraClip, IABP, and peripheral interventions
• Monitor patients on Phillips telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias
• Maintain a sterile field during procedures, demonstrating competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including radiology techs and physicians
• Respond to call within 30 minutes and provide emergency coverage as needed

Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or similar interventional setting
• Experience with Cerner and Xper charting systems
• Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with an 80% or higher score
• Successful completion of SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Level I trauma experience strongly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of sterile field maintenance and circulating roles
• Proficiency with Cerner and Xper EMR systems
• Knowledge of cardiac devices and procedures such as IABP, TAVR, MitraClip, and EP studies
• Skills in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Comfortable interpreting dysrhythmias on telemetry
