Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams, procedures, and treatments to ensure smooth patient flow
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, braces care, and post-treatment instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans efficiently
• Manage and organize orthodontic supplies and materials to keep the office running seamlessly

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred, but we love eager learners too!
• Previous orthodontic experience is a big plus, but not always required
• Radiology certification (X-ray) to handle imaging tasks confidently
• CPR/BLS certification to keep our patients safe
• Strong communication and people skills to make patients feel at ease
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced yet friendly environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of dental procedures and terminology
• Comfortable using dental software like Denticon to manage patient records
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• A team player attitude with a positive, can-do spirit
• Compassionate patient care approach that puts smiles first
