Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during exams, procedures, and treatments to ensure smooth patient flow
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, braces care, and post-treatment instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans efficiently
- Manage and organize orthodontic supplies and materials to keep the office running seamlessly
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred, but we love eager learners too!
- Previous orthodontic experience is a big plus, but not always required
- Radiology certification (X-ray) to handle imaging tasks confidently
- CPR/BLS certification to keep our patients safe
- Strong communication and people skills to make patients feel at ease
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced yet friendly environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of dental procedures and terminology
- Comfortable using dental software like Denticon to manage patient records
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- A team player attitude with a positive, can-do spirit
- Compassionate patient care approach that puts smiles first
