Physical Therapist Assistant - Travel Contract
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Start Date: 08-31-2026
End Date: 11-28-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and adjust individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional training with enthusiasm
- Track and document patient progress, celebrating every milestone together
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs for continued success
- Collaborate with a supportive rehab team to deliver exceptional patient care
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New Mexico or compact eligibility
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Previous experience in rehab or skilled nursing settings is a plus
- Must have a NM caregivers account (as required by the agency)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of therapeutic modalities and exercise techniques
- Excellent communication skills to connect with patients and their families
- Ability to document accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients safely
