Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement and adjust individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional training with enthusiasm
• Track and document patient progress, celebrating every milestone together
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs for continued success
• Collaborate with a supportive rehab team to deliver exceptional patient care

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New Mexico or compact eligibility
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Previous experience in rehab or skilled nursing settings is a plus
• Must have a NM caregivers account (as required by the agency)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of therapeutic modalities and exercise techniques
• Excellent communication skills to connect with patients and their families
• Ability to document accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients safely
