Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement therapeutic exercises and activities under the supervising PT's direction
• Help residents improve mobility, balance, and functional independence
• Provide compassionate, one-on-one support during gait training and transfers
• Accurately document patient progress and communicate with the care team
• Educate residents and families to support ongoing success at home

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Mexico, or eligibility to obtain
• New graduates strongly encouraged to apply
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric rehab is a plus, but not required
• A caring, patient, and reliable nature

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of rehabilitative exercises and functional training techniques
• Ability to work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, and team members
• Empathy and creativity in adapting activities to each resident's needs
