Location: Arlington, Virginia

Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem - Flexible 8.5-hour shifts, as needed
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws and venipunctures with skill and compassion
- Verify patient identities and accurately label specimens
- Handle and transport specimens according to safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming collection area
- Document patient information and collection details in the EHR
- Partner with the care team to ensure a positive patient experience
Qualifications
- Valid phlebotomy certification (CPT, NCCT, ASCP) preferred
- Previous phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting is a plus
- Excellent venipuncture skills and patient interaction abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible, as-needed shifts
- Current BLS/CPR certification is preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation
- Understanding of infection control and safety standards
- Empathy and patience when caring for patients of all ages
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
