Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipunctures with skill and compassion
• Verify patient identities and accurately label specimens
• Handle and transport specimens according to safety protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming collection area
• Document patient information and collection details in the EHR
• Partner with the care team to ensure a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification (CPT, NCCT, ASCP) preferred
• Previous phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting is a plus
• Excellent venipuncture skills and patient interaction abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible, as-needed shifts
• Current BLS/CPR certification is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
• Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards
• Empathy and patience when caring for patients of all ages
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
