Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist our orthodontist with procedures, from patient preparation to post-treatment care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatory rooms to ensure a safe, clean environment
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed, ensuring patient comfort
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records using Denticon and other systems
• Support the front desk team with scheduling and patient flow as needed

Qualifications

• Current Dental Assistant certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Maryland Dental Radiographer certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Experience in orthodontic practices is a plus
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and OSHA standards
• Familiarity with dental practice management software (Denticon preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
• Team player with a positive attitude
