Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort throughout
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays as directed, following proper safety protocols
• Provide patients with post-operative instructions and education on oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts
• Manage orthodontic supplies and inventory, ensuring all materials are readily available

Qualifications

• Certified or registered Dental Assistant (or eligible to obtain certification)
• Orthodontic assisting experience highly desired
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• X-ray certification or the ability to obtain upon hire
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental software and digital imaging
• Strong understanding of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated empathy and patient-centered care approach
