Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during a wide range of procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for young patients.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment.
• Take and process dental X-rays with precision while keeping patients calm and reassured.
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment workflows efficiently.
• Support the dental team by anticipating needs and delivering exceptional chairside assistance.

Qualifications

• A friendly, patient-focused attitude, especially when working with children
• Current CPR certification required
• State certification or registration as a Dental Assistant (if applicable)
• Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required
• X-ray certification or willingness to obtain

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control protocols
• Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Basic computer proficiency for patient records
• Compassion and patience when caring for young patients
