Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist pediatric dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms to maintain a safe, clean environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
• Educate children and parents on proper oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment scheduling
• Work closely with the dental team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• Current CPR certification
• Wisconsin dental assistant registration or licensure as required
• Prior experience in a dental office, preferably pediatric
• A warm, patient approach when working with children

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization protocols
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children and parents
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Proficiency with dental software and patient management systems
• Compassion and patience when caring for pediatric patients
