Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care
- Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance and mentorship
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges efficiently
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop effective care plans
- Monitor staffing levels and adjust schedules as needed
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine or compact license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of nursing care standards and best practices
- Leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure
