Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily living assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure resident safety and comfort
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and offer emotional support
• Maintain a clean and hygienic environment following infection control protocols
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver personalized care plans

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in Maine (or compact state) required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with residents and team members
• Empathy and patience in caring for others
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient care techniques
• Physical stamina to lift and support residents safely
