Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily living assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure resident safety and comfort
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and offer emotional support
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment following infection control protocols
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver personalized care plans
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Maine (or compact state) required
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with residents and team members
- Empathy and patience in caring for others
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and patient care techniques
- Physical stamina to lift and support residents safely
