Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome patients into the orthodontic office and put them at ease
• Assist the orthodontist chairside during exams, procedures, and adjustments
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and treatment rooms
• Take dental X-rays and impressions to support treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and support seamless clinic operations

Qualifications

• Current Orthodontic Certification required
• Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
• Active CPR/BLS certification is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization standards
• Familiarity with Denticon or similar practice management software
• Skilled in taking digital X-rays and dental impressions
• Understanding of orthodontic procedures, brackets, wires, and aligners
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment space
