Roles & Responsibilities
- Welcome patients into the orthodontic office and put them at ease
- Assist the orthodontist chairside during exams, procedures, and adjustments
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and treatment rooms
- Take dental X-rays and impressions to support treatment planning
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and support seamless clinic operations
Qualifications
- Current Orthodontic Certification required
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program
- Active CPR/BLS certification is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a caring, professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization standards
- Familiarity with Denticon or similar practice management software
- Skilled in taking digital X-rays and dental impressions
- Understanding of orthodontic procedures, brackets, wires, and aligners
- Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment space
