CVOR Tech - Surgical Scrub
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Start Date: 09-08-2026
End Date: 12-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 10-hour day shifts; schedule is procedure-based and not necessarily Monday-Friday. Must take call after shift and 24-hour weekend call (average 2 weeks per month)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Scrub and assist in complex cardiac and cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABG, valve replacements, and thoracotomies
- Prepare the operating room with sterile instruments and supplies for open heart and thoracic procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to ensure seamless surgical flow
- Take call after shifts and on weekends to support emergent cardiac procedures
- Cross-train and scrub for other surgical services when cardiac volume is low
- Maintain a sterile field and uphold rigorous safety and infection control standards
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of CVOR experience required
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) strongly preferred
- Experience with open heart cases (CABG, valve replacements) and cardiothoracic procedures
- Trauma and robotic surgery experience is a plus
- Must be willing to take call after shifts and on weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in CVOR surgical scrub techniques
- Knowledge of cardiac and thoracic surgical instruments and equipment
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing surgical schedules
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliability and composure in high-acuity situations
