Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to emergency department patients of all ages
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform emergency procedures as needed
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Previous emergency department or acute care experience preferred
• BLS certification required (ACLS/PALS highly preferred)
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
• Strong critical thinking and triage skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures such as IV insertion, wound care, and cardiac monitoring
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) documentation
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
