Certified Surgical Technologist - Operating Room
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Start Date: 09-08-2026
End Date: 12-05-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM, Day shift; includes call, weekends, and holidays. No block scheduling.
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $40 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize operating rooms with surgical instruments and equipment
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure strict aseptic technique throughout procedures
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to keep procedures running smoothly
- Handle surgical specimens and prepare them for lab analysis
- Collaborate with the OR team to provide exceptional care, including Level 1 trauma and burn cases
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Prior travel experience in surgical settings
- Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center
- Burn care experience preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity OR environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques
- Understanding of OR protocols and patient safety standards
- Skills in trauma and burn surgical procedures
- Ability to adapt quickly to new teams and environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
