Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist in delivering top-notch patient care during exams and procedures
• Prepare operatories and sterilize instruments to keep every visit safe and comfortable
• Take and process dental X-rays and orthodontic impressions
• Educate patients and parents about braces, aligners, and proper oral hygiene
• Maintain accurate patient records and chart treatments in Denticon
• Support a smooth patient flow and a welcoming office environment

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training
• Active state dental assistant certification or registration where required
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• X-ray safety certification
• Experience working in an orthodontic or dental setting
• A positive, caring attitude and a passion for patient care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic instruments, brackets, wires, and appliances
• Familiarity with dental practice management software, including Denticon
• Strong communication skills to explain procedures and ease patient nerves
• Attention to detail and commitment to infection control standards
