Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and braces care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Provide outstanding patient care and comfort

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) preferred
• Maryland Dental Radiographer Certification required
• Experience in orthodontic practice preferred
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Skill in taking dental impressions and X-rays
• Understanding of orthodontic appliance systems
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
