Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during patient examinations and procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to ensure a safe environment.
• Take dental X-rays and impressions with precision and care.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as needed.
• Support daily clinic operations and ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Valid dental assistant certification or license as required by the state of Maryland.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in orthodontics is a plus, but recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient-focused attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization techniques.
• Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and team members.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
