Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms for each patient
• Take and process dental X-rays as directed by the orthodontist
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, braces care, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment notes
• Provide a warm, welcoming experience for every patient and family

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Dental Assistant license or certification (required)
• X-ray certification preferred
• CPR certification is a plus
• Previous orthodontic assisting experience is a bonus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A team player who is eager to learn and grow

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization protocols
• Familiarity with dental software and patient records
• Strong patient care and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and time management
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Compassion and empathy when working with patients
